When your SiriusXM cost is more than $60 a year
First, tell the customer representative that you see that they’re offering their Sirius XM Select package at $60 for 12 months. Argue that times are tough and that you’d like to remain a subscriber, but that you want this deal. If they come back with a $99 a year offer, resist it and insist on the lower price.
If instead of a customer representative, you’re greeted by a chat bot, type “renew at $60 a year on SiriusXM select package.” You’ll be transferred to a live rep and you can ask for this offer.
If the rep says no, then cancel your subscription. Go to their Sirius XM deals page the following day and request their SiriusXM Select promo. You’re very likely to get it and save.
When your Sirius XM cost is already $60 a year
What if you’re already on their 12 month offer and paying $60 a year for Sirius Select? In that case, be a little more aggressive upfront.
Tell the rep that you’re not using your subscription as much and that you want to cancel it. They’ll likely try to keep you as a customer and offer you a better deal.
Regardless of which Sirius satellite radio deal you get, there’s no reason for you not to use this hack again before your new offer expires.

SiriusXM radio military discount
Sirius offers a 25% military discount on qualified packages to all active and veteran members of the military and their families. While the 25% discount sounds attractive, this Sirius XM deal cannot be combined with other offers. The lowest advertised package under this promo starts at $8.24 a month.
But as we saw above, you can get the SiriusXM Select package for $5 for 12 months. Granted, the military discount Sirius offers is for the life of your subscription. So it might be a good offer for you if you don’t like the idea of negotiating a Sirius XM deal every year.
